Why Biomass?
Of all the technologies eligible for payments under the RHI, biomass offers the best combination of value, simplicity of installation and carbon savings.
The biomass boiler can operate as a stand-alone unit or in conjunction with fossil-fuel fired boilers. It can run on either wood chips or wood pellets. We recommend that you choose a wood pellet boiler for lower capital expenditure, smaller footprint, ease of fuel delivery and nationwide supply.
The Green Heat Module offers you a retro-fit solution to achieve
low carbon heat with the minimum of fuss. Everything you need is
included in the module so that we can arrive on site, hook up to
your existing heating distribution system and fire you up! We use
an "in-line hot tap" connection so that we don't have to shut down
your existing heating system to install the Green Heat
Module.
Once commissioned, you can operate and maintain the boiler
yourself or we can offer a service package so that everything's
taken care of for you; fuel, meter readings and servicing.
Similarly there are choices with respect to how you buy the boiler;
outright purchase, hire purchase & lease finance or "pay as you
go" by buying units of heat from an Energy Services Company
(ESCo)
provider.
