Environment Secretary Visits Brimpts Farm, Dartmoor
Environment secretary Hilary Benn visited Brimpts Farm, a hill farm on Dartmoor, to see the farm's beef cattle, the diversification it has undertaken, and a recently installed Binder wood-chip boiler system.
Brimpts Farm is an award winning farm diversification project offering conference facilities and accommodation which is heated via a Binder 150kW wood-chip boiler installed by Wood Energy Ltd.
The visit was part of a fact-finding tour of the region which included meeting with the Forestry Commission to discuss diversification within the forestry sector.
