Wood Energy presents the Green Heat Module at the European Bioenergy Exhibition & Conference (EBEC)
Wood Energy will present its biomass Green Heat Module product at EBEC, 5-6 Oct 2011. The Green Heat Module is specifically designed to be easily retrofitted onto large commercial and public sector buildings, making deployment of a biomass heating solution significantly simpler and much quicker than traditional complex installations. Wood Energy is the leading specialist in commercial scale wood fuelled heating systems in the UK and is part of the RES Group.
The Green Heat Module represents the coming together of Wood Energy's knowledge of biomass boilers and the global expertise in renewable energy within RES, giving customers a robust, turnkey route to a truly sustainable heating solution.
The Green Heat Module offers organisations a robust, pre-fabricated design that can be retrofitted as a standalone heat delivery unit using wood pellets and can be operated in conjunction with fossil-fuel fired boilers. With everything in-built, Wood Energy arrives on site, hooks up to an existing heating distribution system and sets the boiler in operation without the need to shut down these existing heating systems. Once up and running, the boiler can be operated and maintained by customers themselves, or it can come with a service package so that fuel supply, meter readings and servicing are taken care of on behalf of the customer.
Neil Turner, Business Development Manager, RES On-site, said: "The Green Heat Module places the focus directly on our customers, making it easy for them to implement carbon savings programmes. Our analysis suggests that payback periods of 4-5 years are achievable where gas is being displaced and 2-3 years where oil is displaced."
As the commercial sector looks to reduce its carbon footprint and secure 'home-grown' energy supplies, companies are increasingly looking for alternatives to fossil fuels for their heating needs. The Department for Energy & Climate Change recently announced a slight delay to implementation of the world leading Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. However, once it proceeds, the RHI will provide a fixed, index-linked income paid to organisations for every unit of heat generated from renewable sources over a 20 year period.
Wood Energy is providing full details about the Green Heat Module at the main entrance to EBEC.
